From a short story at UBERHIPPY

“Next was the poundin’ and thumpin’ of the goon squad runnin’ upa coupla’ flights of metal stairs -- sorta like jungle drums in some old timey movie.”

Corrado Schoner Films

Written and Directed by Gregory J. Corrado
Produced by David W. Schoner, Jr.

On the set of ELECTING JACK POWELL: writer /director Greg Corrado, cinematographer Ly Bolia, and producer Dave Schoner.

ELECTING JACK POWELL is the first movie about the dangerous game of politics to be made by insiders who have actually played the game.

It is the true story of writer/director Gregory Corrado and producer Dave Schoner's experiences in the political trenches of Hudson County, New Jersey. And unlike every Hollywood look at elections, this movie's not about the candidates - it's about the people who make the campaigns happen. How they feel, why they do it.

ELECTING JACK POWELL is the disturbing story of veteran campaigner Steve Mallimo, who quits the dirty game of politics in disgust - only to be tempted back into battle by a close friend who entices Steve to lead his mayoral bid. The campaign and Steve's compulsive need to run it drives Steve to explore his darkest motivations: what is this attraction to the game?
